carolina wren
We've got a very active Carolina wren roaming over our property. It's always hopping and jumping around all over the place, especially under our deck and in the brushpile next to the compost pile. It's diet includes insects such as flies, grasshoppers, crickets, bees, moths, beetles, spiders and leafhoppers. To bring them to your feeders, include suet, sunflower seed and peanuts.

They'll nest anywhere, too. If you have hanging plants, be on the lookout during spring (er - right about now, here in SW FLA).
I love the different chittering calls they make, and the fact that they are brazen enough to scold and harass even large intruders like, well, ME.
You know, my mother's got a fam living in a pot 6 inches from the front door. Been there at least the last three years, guess they like the company.
I've been scared half to death when taking down clothes off the line and one would pop out of a pair of pants. Screamed like a little girl.
